Has anyone here been bitten by a nymph tick while in treatment? If so, what did you do?
I seriously can't believe this happened. I was so careful. A couple of days ago, I was in my backyard working in my garden and was bitten by several nymph ticks that were hiding in leaf litter. I thought they were mosquito bites until last night when I looked closer and found a nymph. I managed to remove it and then promptly lost it because it was so tiny and my hands were so shaky. Initially, there was a rash that looked like mosquito bites and some pain, but once I removed it, things calmed down and it appears to be healing without a bullseye. I felt very off yesterday, but that could be from a myriad of things that are not tick related. Feeling pretty good today considering I barely slept last night. I still have a few mosquito-bite-looking spots that I left alone because it was 3:00 am and I was starting to lose my mind.
I am not yet under the care of a LLMD. I have one selected, but am applying for financial aid and saving to get in. Currently, I am doing Bruhners protocol and have done three rounds of doxycycline over the past year and a half. I have a functional doctor who will fill doxy or whatever for me, so I will be giving her a call tomorrow for a 30-day round just to be safe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I feel quite lost.
Hi Violet - welcome to the forum.
Glad to hear you will treat with 30 days of doxy.
But, if after the 30 days - you still have symptoms - please continue to treat.
