I'm due for some TBD testing including all the usual suspects.
I've been sick with the 3 B's for about
a quarter century. I've been tested for Bb scores of times over the years. Historically Im CDC 2T positive 2/3's of the time, but i've been negative the last 2 or 3 years. I've never had to use IGenex, the typical B31 kit is all Ive tested with. I even tested positive thru the NIH and Mayo and Imugen and StonyBrook and of course Labcorp and Quest. They all pretty much use the same kit.
I have always tested positive on the C6. Always.
I have tried various MTTTs and I'm always positive on them as well, for obvious reasons (they're kinda like second cousins to the C6).
It is important that I am positive, but I fear my immune system is in decline. I have provoked responses in the past with an abx challenge. But abx now really screw me up. Besides, the algorithm for any challenge varies - some say stop 7 days out, some say 10 days out etc. I'm not even sure a challenge really works.
So, I'm in a quandry. Do I do an abx challenge to provoke a positive response?
I'd appreciate your insights and opinions.
ETA: Does anyone actually believe an abx challenge works?
