Babs abx

My llmd pissed me off a little bt I didn't tell him that. At first he said sulfamethoxazole and/or azithro would hit babesia. Bt this last visit he contradicted himself and said not really. Anyone know which one of these hits babs ,if it does?

i think almost any antibiotic has limited activity against a specific life stage of Babesia ( its a complex organism with many life stages) - this is why an antibiotic is usually added to an antimalarial to treat it

but on their own antibiotics are not enough to successfully fully treat Babesia
