thank you Sulma,
I hadn't heard about Niacin using for Lyme. How much do you take of it?
I take 4,000mg daily in four divided doses throughout the day, but I weigh under 150lbs. Your dose is dependent on your bodyweight. A 200lber would take 6k a day. It cannot be that "no flush" niacin though. That part is essential. Part of the way the Niacin kills Borrelia is by dilating all the blood vessels and exposing the Bb to oxygen (which it cannot tolerate), so the flush is a good thing. Your body acclimates to it within a few days though, so you will not walk around looking like a boiled lobster.
Seriously though, go easy on this at first because it WILL herx you. No exaggerating here, 6k of niacin is about
as potent for me as the 600mg Doxy I was put on when I was first diagnosed. I keep it at 4k b/c I can manage that with my detoxing to keep from herxing.
Twinlabs makes a 1000mg capsule that is convenient for this dose level.
