Hi Everyone; A couple years ago I had an infection in a root canal and I was given clindamycin. I was thinking about
this today, and when I was on that drug I felt better than I had in years and remember saying that to the dentist. Is CLINDAMYCIN ever used for lyme disease?? Thanks D

Well.... I basically went into remission for 18 months after doing IV clindamycin along with oral quinine. I did end up relapsing but I wonder what would have happened, had I stayed on it longer????

my llmd put me on a combination of clidamycin, zithromax, plaquenil and mepron. this is for lyme, babesia and i had also tested positive for toxaplasma. i have done very well on clindamycin.
i did go off it for a month and was switched to omniceff, but didn't do as well on it, cognitive slippage, so i was put back on clindamycin. i'd be interested in hearing from others. it's been a helpbul abx for me.

Clindamycin is mainly used for old school malaria treatment when combined with quinine. It might have an effect on lyme but could be far more useful for Mycoplasma and Bartonella.
