Well I went for the colon cleansing and it did not hurt a bit. Maybe a little uncomfortable at times, but well worth it. I felt so lousy from the abx. I go to a nurse who used to work with an acupuncturist and thus learned about
colon cleansing and a variety of other cleansing options. My husband goes to her too, he has been on abx for 16 months and had built up a lot of yeast.
She was very knowledgeable (her daughter and the daughter's boyfriend both have lyme) and has available a great deal of supplements to deal with what she finds during the cleansing.
I don't think you have to have lyme to have this procedure done, we are all exposed to a bunch of toxins, parasites, etc. and need to get them out of our system.
It cost $75 for the cleansing and was the best $$ that I could have spent. I left feeling so much better.
She found very little yeast (I had only been on abx for a month) but did find fungal material (yuck!!!!). Could that be due to lyme? I hear yeast mentioned often but not fungal material.
Who ever knew I would be so excited about such a procedure, but I am.
She did mention that abx can affect a person's metablism, liver, intestines, etc. Add in the spirochete and no wonder we don't feel very good.
She was somewhat alarmed that I had been on synthroid, crestor, allegra for about 20 years or more. I did not realize that those meds would have affected my intestines and created a toxic situation.
I have another appointment scheduled and am actually looking forward to it.
