Laura,
My entire family has lyme, including my twin 4 year old boys and probably my 2 year old girl. My husband was the first to be diagnosed. He was treated for 3 weeks with abx one summer after a positive lyme test and his headaches went away. He was fine for almost a year but then the headaches came back along with numerous other symptoms. He is being treated again now and is improving after a year of abx. He will probably need another year of treatment. If he had been given 6 weeks of abx the first time, that probably would have cured it. 3 weeks is normally not long enough to kill the lyme, despite what many doctors say. The same thing happened to one of my sons.
You need to get your daughter to a LLMD as soon as possible! The sooner you get her treated, the shorter the treatment time should be. My sons are seeing Dr. J in CT, who is arguably the best pediatric LLMD in the country. I would strongly recommend him. We drive to see him from PA. E-mail me if you would like to get more info.

Don't waste your time with mainstream doctors or infectious disease doctors, as almost all of them know nothing about
treating lyme. There are many people that are well for a couple of years and then the symptoms return, so I don't doubt that your child has lyme.
