Hi,
I seem to be the only 'lymie' in my family, yet not the only one w/immunity problems. My father has CLL (leukemia), and now something scary happened, I'm wonding if anyone thinks this might be linked to infection or auto-immunity.
My folks got into a car accident; my dad's back was affected, my mom's jaw dislocated. For some reason though, my mom was given a bunch of different blood tests. Her SED/ESR is 38 and ANA is positive! I don't think the latter could have to do with the accident, does anyone have any idea about this? Her follow-up IFA was normal. <1.40.
I looked on HW's Lupus forum, but all I have is this basic information. Reportedly there's a plethora of follow-up tests for this. My mother has no pain with the exception of her neck (which it turns out was likely stemming from her jaw), so she's reluctant to follow up with the (OON) docs I am recommending (rheumatologist, etc.). Just figured I'd put this out there as there are so many experienced and brilliant minds on this forum
Thanks, Tracy
