I'm treating lyme, babesia, bartonella... In the beginning of treatment, I had a pain in my chest area... it seems to radiate to under my left arm.. I again have it and it hasn't gone away.. Sometimes when I breathe in or cough, I can feel it even more.. I'm scared something is wrong w/my heart.. I had an EKG when it first happened and it was normal.. Can something be wrong? I want to go to a cardiologist but my parents want to wait a little since I have bad insurance..
The same type of things happened to me. I experienced what I thought "had to be a heart attack". The second time it happened we called EMS (which was a first for me). My EKG was fine but I did end up going to a cardiologist for their "tests" (treadmill, EKG, MRI etc., etc.). It turns out everything was normal. I had a very slight arrythmia on one EKG which is not an issue and requires no treatment.... while this was going on, I had a small "blip" on an MRI of my brain. I have had neck and head pain in the same place, left side, for over a year. The doctor decided an MRI was in order and then the "blip" appeared... which led to an MRA of my brain. For a good month I thought I was going to die from an annuerysm and/or a heart attack (as the result of Lyme Disease).
One of the few things that did come out of all of this was that all my tests were "normal". And, I know that I have Lyme Disease and that is causing a domino effect of symptoms (some things are still ongoing, stomach pain on left side, pelvic sonograms, chest X-rays, etc.) The other good thing to come out of all this was I now know that I don't have heart or brain problems, thank God.
The tests are expensive, your insurance should cover this (just ask in advance, see what steps you need to take to make sure the tests are covered). The price is worth paying for the peace of mind you'll get in the end.
All the best -
