HI All, Lately I have been feeling pretty down and out. It seems like nobady believes what I am feeling but me. :( I am trying to find a LLMD but have no luck so far and I am worried that my insurance will not cover a LLMD or my treatment. It's hard to get out of bed when you don't feel good and everyone around you thinks it's an act. I'm afraid to even think about the future because Lyme Disease could take over my future. Does anyone have any suggestions to boost my mood or even make me feel better until I see a doctor? Are these feelings normal? I mean I know if someone is told they have cancer, this is a natural reaction, but should I being getting so upset about a curable disease? I'm not suicidal or anything just down. Thanks for all advice ahead of time.

Can you exercise? It helps me so if you can -- please try. And get the heart rate up. I know you might pay the next day with creeky joints and weak and shaky muscles, but it lifts my spirits and makes me less cranky.

One other thing you could try is B12 (1000mgs). Take the kind that dissolves under your tongue and is called MSG. I think it absorbs better that way. It will take a while, but I noticed more energy levels at night after a week. I mean I would not be up past 11 pm writing you if it wasn't for that.

Another thing, when you wake up, don't lie in bed. As soon as the clock strikes 6 a.m., let your feet hit the floor. Before you have a chance to analyze your life and future -- or appropriate and exagerated fears -- you're in the shower. And before you have a chance to think about LD and all that it means, you're making your coffee and am dressed and out the door.

I guess distraction is the key. And with Lyme, ADD and all, it's not hard.

There is a stressful, psychological side to this disease that is rarely addressed. But like the guy says, There is Life After Lyme.

Believe it. You will improve. You will get better. People do it all the time. They may forget to post about it. But it happens!!! But you MUST do your part. Even if it's going through the motions of doing what you can until you find the Lyme doctor.

Try some natural remedies while you find the doc. I have a few like green tea and fresh garlic. Lots of vitamin C and B12. Blueberries are good. And pomegranite juice.

Good post.  I was wondering should I let my doctor put me on meds for lupus and its not confirmed.. I have more symptoms of lyme than lupus.  She tested me for lyme today, but asked do I want to be on sterioids in the mean time...  I told her no..but I'm suffering!!!

Can you try and wait for the test for lupus to come back? Apparently some people have been diagnosed with Lyme and found they had Lupus. And actually vice versa.

Lupus shouldn't be messed around with. It can cause problems.
