Mepron - what can I expect

I have been on a number of different antibiotics, but this time the choice is Mepron and Doxy. My doc thinks they might be easier on the intestines. My son has been on Mepron and it has really helped him, but his dose wasn't too large. I just wondered what I should know and what kind of results people have seen with it. My symptoms are mostly neuro (dizzy/headaches/cognitive issues/etc.)
