Sitting here thinking what should I do?

Waiting on blood results for lupus and lyme.  So I'm being treated.. I know it take time.  Told its Fibro by my docs.  I had MRI's and CT last week..all negative.  MY ana is 1:64 but told by rheumy she doesn't think it lupus. SO I'm waiting...

But been flare mode for a month now.  Well, I'm trying to be a trooper..but last night my throat muscles felt like a mild cramp..so I took a muscle relaxer to sleep and to get the muscle to relax.  Well, this morning I feel like its a lil better, but I can't seem to get the phelm (sP?) to go all the way down and feels slightly numb in my throat.  I became accustomed to the weak throat feelng for 8 years.  When I swallow today, I got a sharp (pin like) feeling in my ear and the back of throat (like ouch!!). 

I just took a nerve relaxer -vistril- to calm me down..so I dont panic.  I been to the ER  at least 5 times in the past month. Don't want to go today.. they look at me like I'm crazy.. I'm scared to be honest.  And they never do anything..but give me pain meds for muscles and say follow up with my doctor.   Its the holiday and I feel so helpless. My kids are ready to spend time at Grandma and eat.  I had and barium swallow 2 years ago and a esphogaus scope.. mild leakage when swallowing (nothing significant they said) and the scope showed nothing. 

Can anyone offer some advice, I don't know what they (hospital/docs) can do for me anyway?  I'm so emotionally

torn today.

Give yourself a BIG break today. Send the kids to Grandma's and make them promise to bring you home a nice plate of food.... that way they can celebrate T-day again... with you.

Take a hot bath, take a few deep breaths, use your medication as prescribed.... and if you need to, go to the hospital or call 911, that's what they're there for. I've only had EMS out once (when I thought I was having my 2nd heart attack)... then I "came out of it" and decided not to go to the hospital. The EMS guys said it was OK if I ended up calling them back out to the house. He said, "That's what we're here for".

I know this won't cure Lyme disease.... but it might help get you through the day. And, that's all any of us can do.

PS - It is OK to be sick on holidays.

KE08: Have you ever had any testing done for allergies of any kind?? Along with having Lyme I am VERY allergic to most things. When exposed to some things, I will get this thick, numb feeling in my throat and then its difficult to swallow. I have lost my voice completely for days at a time. Some people (and docs) do not know how serious allergies can be, but they land people in the ER all the time and worse. A woman here in Dallas ended up on LIFE SUPPORT in ICU from an allergic reaction to lip gloss, of all things. Just something that comes to my mind when I read your posts.  D

Hello..The kids did go to Grandma w/o me.. I actually wish they were here now;LOL. As far as alleriges.. it not allerigies but thanks for trying to sort this out with me. I really appreciate the advice and support.
