I was told that a SPECT is what you want to detect neur-toxins not MRI. A spect scan shows the blood flow where an MRI is just slices of your brain, but they are "still" pictures, like an X-ray. Too bad that you paid for the MRI, I had THREE of them before we knew we were looking for Lyme or neuro-tosxins. See if there is some way your insurance will approve the spect and go for that, that is what you need. I have done both and the spect is the only one that showed damage. D
