If Lyme is suspected it should be diagnosed along with other early stage symptoms to back up the rash such as flu and body ach. You can also choose to treat with 3 weeks of Doxy just to be safe without any other symptoms and just the bulls-eye rash but this is at the Dr's discretion. Lyme is a very nasty disease and you don't have much to loose by doing 3 weeks of Doxy to be on the safe side. If you can convince your Dr that you may have Lyme and to give you 3 weeks of Doxy then I would do it. Remember there are many other bites and conditions that can cause a bulls eye rash so it's all about
probability.
