IMO no. There is some differences of opinion between LD treatment theorists on whether or not one should avoid complete proteins, which would include not just meat but also eggs. IIRC there's an amino acid that's said to be required by Borrelia and eating protein is helpful to it. Klinghardt for one specifically warns against a raw only diet, and feels protein, especially whey, is good for fighting Borrelia.

Tyrosine is a pro-inflammatory amino acid found in red meat, wine, aged cheese, and some other foods. This may explain some of the recommendations listed in the anti-inflammatory diet.
My personal opinion is that it is up to the individual - and that one should not compromise nutrition just to follow some diet, because that in and of itself will make healing from Lyme more difficult.

Meat has shown only negative health implications when eaten on a regular basis including colon cancer however I have herd very good things about
clean water fish.

I quit red meat completely about
3 months ago. I do eat fish and poultry. There are a lot of toxins in red meat. Animals in stock yards are given growth hormones, and antibiotics to prevent disease in filthy conditions. Their body fat stores a lot of these toxins. Besides that, they are subjected to stressful (in my opinion, inhuman) treatment which alters their hormones. I don't want to be a part of that any more. When I found out that 18% of emissions producing global warming comes from stock yards, that settled my resolve to give up meat. I love beans and rice and nuts. There are some great vegatarian recipes that even my meat and potatoes husband likes. In the book Cure Unknown, the author mentions one girl who was cured of lyme with just a macrobiotic diet. She is one of the few people mentioned that was cured at all. When I first began Doxy early last year, I quit sugar and most carbs including wheat. This put me on pretty much an Atkins diet of meat and vegtables - a lot of meat as vegtables have no calories to speak of. Within a short time I smelled horrible (toxins). That is when I decided whole grains cannot be all that bad. When I quit meat and kept away from sugar substitues as much as possible (like honey which I LOVE), my complexion improved and I looked younger and healthier. Now I am thinking about
juicing. . . .
