Doctor in NC

Ok, I don't know the rules for this site so hopefully I am not going against them.

Can anyone tell me of a doctor in NC who takes Ins and actually treats Lyme.

I finally got a diagnosis of Lyme after 15 years of never ending symptoms. I tested positive per the CDC on western blot. However every doc I have been too says it must be a false positive because you cannot possibly get Lyme in NC.

So as you can see I need a freaking doctor!

Would love to hear from someone!

Good morning. I live in Raleigh, and I must say that this state does not support the idea of Lyme Disease. I know of several practitioners, but none of them take insurance. I think I remember hearing of 1 doctor in either Greensboro or Winston-Salem that treats Lyme and takes insurance...but he is by no means a Lyme-literate physician.

Even though the cost is higher, I would recommend seeing a Lyme-Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD). This disease is not straight forward to treat; you need someone with first hand clinical experience. That's just my $0.02. Send me an email if you would like me to recommend someone for you here in NC.
