Hello again, it's been awhile since I've posted. (My history in short: I stopped ABX in spring of '07 after almost 9 months of treatment. Had Lyme for unknown number of years and had 30+ symptoms on lists at one time or another over a five year period. Finally found a doctor to accurately test and treat aggressively. I initially had good response and most symptoms either faded or went away completely.) Last summer I started noticing a return of fatigue, interrupted sleep, shortness of breath. Also had sinus pain and stuffiness. Needless to say, I was very worried about relapse. In the meantime my husband was diagnosed and started treatment.
Then in the last couple months in addition to those symptoms, I started having low grade headaches, back pain, chills and sweats and tenderness and pain the my upper right side of my abdomen. I felt I was having a relapse, but I really wanted to find a way to avoid having to go back on antibiotics if possible. The upper abdomen pains seemed to suggest I have gallstones. My family has a history of gallbladder problems and so I wasn't surprised, but the increase in what also were Lyme symptoms for me was confusing.
After some research, I decided to try a gallbladder and liver flush. I read the book by Andreas Moritz and followed his instructions exactly. Last week, I had a very successful outcome, with many pea-sized stones being flushed and also a lot of what he describes as "chaff" from the liver and bile ducts. I did the flush last weekend and felt a bit rough on Sat. and Sunday, but since then have had the best days I've had in years! really feel very calm, no pains and just feel overall good. It's hard to describe, but I'm amazed at how much difference it made in such a short time.
I have noticed that a lot of people with Lyme experience gallbladder problems. I am wondering if the toxins generated by Lyme have a harmful effect on the liver and gallbladder and create lingering symptoms and relapse? Any thoughts on this? Have any of you done this type of cleanse and if so did it help you? I plan to follow the recommended series of flushes (not more than 1X month) until no more stones are expelled. I'll post again with further results. I'd be very interested to find out if others have explored this type of cleansing.
may you find healing, g
