Has anyone had or heard of this new Lyme specific diagnostic test? I read it finds the actual bacteria instead of just looking for antibodies. It also tells you the extent of infection. I think they are doing it in Florida.

Its not a new test, I believe someone on here said they were bought out by another lab. Used to be Bowen Lab. I had the Q-rib done 5 years ago and it came out with the highest number possible, the other person on here (cant remember who it was) had the SAME result. The doc I am seeing now does not think that test is reliable but I am sure you will find a doc that thinks its terrific. You know how that is with the Lyme tests. Have you done Igenex? With the high results from Q-rib, my Igenex was negative.  D

I havent been to a lyme doc yet I believe this is what I have though. classic symptoms swollen knee and finger neck shoulder stiffness total back pain body stiffness, fatigue, fevers developing into throbbing pain and hospitalization. brain swooshing sounds in my ears, facial parralesis , balance problems, foot pain, bad circulation, chest pain, so many . So I am rapidly trieing to educate myself with the help of you guys. and getting my daughter to a good doc. I cant wait for proper testing.

veromia, are you getting treatment? You have so many symptoms, you don't need a test to confirm the disease. A good LLMD will help you. If you respond to abx with a strong herx, that is diagnostic in and of itself.
