Hi RD, drugs.com is a good place to look up meds. I've been there with that vertigo and dizziness. I fell down the steps, landed mostly on my left buttock, but did also bump my head, which gave my MD all the more reason to want the MRI of my brain last month. So just be extra careful! Still praying that you will find the right treatment soon!

RottenDog,
I have notes that say IgM is a sign of a current infection and IgG is a sign of a current infection, or of a past exposure to or past infection by the organism. Other notes (which I believe I got from Dr. Burr) I have printed state that Igm converts to IgG in approximately 2 months and show up only 25% of the time.
If you have a positive IgM, then, according to the LLMDs, you are currently infected w/ Lyme.
DISCLAIMER. I am a newbie, not a Dr or lab. I am not even diagnosed, tho I have a positive 39 which is species specific. I DO NOT CLAIM TO BE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE LYME, I AM SHARING INFORMATION THAT I HAVE COME ACROSS in my research. And I have not printed 'notes' from any 'obscure' sources.

ticks are really tiny at this time of year -- the nymph is no bigger than a . period at the end of a sentence.....
Scary!

A person who has had Lyme for years and years can still have positive IgM for Lyme because the bacteria are constantly changing their outer surface proteins. This is what makes the immune system have to keep generating new antibodies to the bacteria, thus making IgM antibodies to Lyme possible even in late stage Lyme.
