Hey everyone, I hope you all are healing well today. So... I got a rash in the fall of '07 (I *think* i got bit on a camping trip earlier that fall). I had a severe onset of symptoms in Jan. '08. Six months of madness ensued, I diagnosed myself with Lyme first, then found a doctor who diagnosed me with Lyme in June '08. I've been treating with doxy, mino, biaxin.. and of course diet and exercise. Fast forward to now (May 13, 2009)....
So I've been doing 2 months antibiotics, 1 month diflucan, repeat. I am getting better overall. Its extremely, extremely slow. Throughout my extensive research, I find myself thinking alot about candida overgrowth lately. So I ordered some ThreeLac and plan to take that for a month or two with the diflucan and see what happens.
Since I like to make it easy for you guys, I hope for a few responses with yes, no, or maybe to my questions. Any elaboration is of course greatly appreciated. It should be noted I am a male, 32 years, live in San Diego. Thanks and take care everyone..
Top symptoms in order:
-Head and neck pain (daily 3-4 outta 10 average)
-light sensitivity (daily 3 outta 10 average)
-mild joint pain
Chief
1. Could it be that candida overgrowth is causing most of my pain at this point (rather than bacteria)?
2. Has anyone (sick or better) come to the definitive conclusion their health problems are lyme/candida?
