Since last Monday, for my cellulitis thumb, taking Sulfameth/Trimethoprim 800 twice per day. Supposed to take for 2 weeks. I have appt w/ LLMD in 2 weeks from this coming Tuesday. Should I stop the abx for the sake of a lyme test? (thumb is not yet clear) Will this mess up any lyme test for sure? Or should I call this Dr and ask? (he's hard to reach!)

No, do not stop the abx. Your thumb needs treatment. Try to reach the LLMD's office and ask to speak with the nurse about it - nurses are usually able to get answers back to you more quickly than if you just try to reach the doctor.

I don't think it would mess up the Lyme test...I'm not aware of Trimeth/Sulf being used to treat Lyme...
