IF I get proper treatment and let's just say I get better, or at least improve. Could that mean my thyroid might return to normal function and be able to go off thy meds, or is that a dead end street?
In my opinion, "yes". Once cured, we return to our "normal" state of being as if returning to a simpler time and place. For example:
I will be 35 years old, a size 6 female, kicking ass at work and climbing that f'ing ladder like no one's business, newly married, a "trophy wife" some might say. My mother always said, "Jennifer, you always managed to step in crap and come up smelling like a rose".
I spent the first 18 mos. of marriage happy, traveling, making lots of moola... I could not have asked for anything more and then WHAMO - Lyme disease. I haven't been out of a robe since.
But seriosly, I really do think a lot of my (our) problems will clear up once the LD and coinfections are gone. And a few of the remaining symptoms could be due to age(ing) or damage endured by abx usage or lack thereof.
UhOh, JelaineP is going to that 'dark place'..... AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
