In my opinion, "yes".  Once cured, we return to our "normal" state of being as if returning to a simpler time and place.  For example:

I will be 35 years old, a size 6 female, kicking ass at work and climbing that f'ing ladder like no one's business, newly married, a "trophy wife" some might say.  My mother always said, "Jennifer, you always managed to step in crap and come up smelling like a rose".

I spent the first 18 mos. of marriage happy, traveling, making lots of moola... I could not have asked for anything more and then WHAMO - Lyme disease.  I haven't been out of a robe since.

But seriosly, I really do think a lot of my (our) problems will clear up once the LD and coinfections are gone.  And a few of the remaining symptoms could be due to age(ing) or damage endured by abx usage or lack thereof.

It's okay. I'm just very sensitive about that topic because she pretty much raised me and I see everyday what she goes through and struggles with. She's in a nursing home and it kills me to see her like that.

Remission means that the bacteria is pretty much "controlled". Meaning, it could still come back later. I've talked to a few people that had it under control and some are almost 100% back to their old self. And some that still have symptoms every now and then but feel a whole lot better.
I guess it depends on how your own body heals. I'm sorry that I don't have a better answer but that is just how this disease is. I used to cry all the time and ask, "why me?" Now, I just try to deal with what each day brings me and try to make it through the day. I don't plan anything anymore. I tell people that if I make it there, you will see me.....if not, then they understand because they know I'm not feeling good. It's not fun to miss things but that's what I've been dealt in my life and I just have to cope the best way I can.

I don't know if you saw what I posted on your "Western Blot" post but I think you do have Lyme Disease. Keep doing everything your doctor tells you, do a ton of research, and try to detox. It will help you. You are still young and many young people heal faster than older people because their immune system is stronger. In my opinion, I think you have alot of hope.
