Sometimes all of the sudden my vision seemes like it is glassed over, makes it hard to see. Then it goes away. Twice now my vision has gone a grey color and I cant see anything but grey. It only lasts about
10 sec. But wow is it scary!! has this happened to anyone else??

MY Dr. wants to treat me and all with Fluconazol. He is a bit different. But I cant afford the other Dr. They are to expensive, and I have no health insurance. I have not read Dr Bs guidelines on Tetra.

I've had lots of eye troubles over the years, but no eye doctor has been able to figure out why - they all tell me I'm just nearsighted with a little astigmatism & a little dry-eye (treated with eye drops, but still feel dry/gritty). But I get flashes of light, light sensitivity, see things that aren't there (like bugs & such - mostly in peripheral vision only), fail to see things that really ARE there & that I am looking directly at (hence why I cannot drive a vehicle...), difficulty with depth perception / telling how far away something is from me especially if it is a moving object, blurry vision even with my glasses on, pain and/or other odd sensations in and around my eyes, lumps in my eyelids that don't respond to typical stye treatment, etc....
So these eye troubles are very likely Lyme-related (and/or co-infection related).
Take care,

I have had times when I have black spots floating in front of my eyes...very annoying, I have had blurry vision which feels like I have something in my eye and at times I get a flash of light.

I did not have these problems till I started My meds. Tetracycline, do you think that it could be the meds?

Not again,
If the eye troubles didn't start until you took tetracycline, then it is either a herx or a side-effect of the meds. In any case, you might want to contact your LLMD about
it.
My eye issues are not medication related.

Razzle I have been on it for a year now. Could that still be a herx?

Blurry vision and sensitivity to light are known side-effects of tetracycline (see http://www.drugs.com/pro/tetracycline.html and http://www.drugs.com/pdr/tetracycline.html ).
I don't know if this is a herx after being on the med for so long...I think it would be a good idea to discuss this with your LLMD.

RD, I know people who have light sensitivity, and do not take tetra. and never did. They think it is from the lyme

AH yes the eye issues. I have had lyme and co-infections since the late eighties from 3 bites and bulls-eyes that I know of. Not diagnosed till 2003 but was only given six months of doxy and amoxy. As time went by my vision began to be blurry-so much so that I needed to get glasses for the first time and up prescript
ion lenses 2 x year. In 2001 was told I had narrow angle glaucoma and had lazer holes put in my eyes to relieve pressure. Vision kept getting blurry even with glasses, had floaters, sharp pain, burning, seeing things that weren't there, halos, rainbows, feeling gritty and more. Then in 04 came the light sensitivity- very bad- even had to wear sunglasses in the house.
Then long-term antibiotic treatment began in 07 and continues to today with modified cowden protocol added in the past 3 months. The light sensitivity and many other eye issues went away. The Opthamologist says I have swollen optic nerves but can't find anything else. I have eyes checked once a year. Still occasionally get floaters, and see things that aren't there and of course still have blurry vision. Blessings
