Scorpio - IV Claforan/Flagyl?

Scopio read that you wanted input in another thread and felt inclined to share some advice that may be helpful.

I see that you stopped making progress on the IV Ceftriaxone-- You may want to ask you doctor about switching to IV Claforan. It is metabolized primarily in the kidney so would give your gall bladder a rest and it works primarily in the brain and maybe could help with your CNS symptoms. Now if your Babesia is too high it won't work as well- in which case some docs are using IV Clindamycin (for Babesia). Since you have the PICC line these are ways to switch it up and utiilize the line.

Other thoughts that are useful is while on these treatments to use Flagyl for 2 days (on the weekends) to treat cyst forms of spirochetes.

Not sure what herbs you are doing but I also combine Chinese herbs - most Chinatowns have a reputable Chinese herbalist/acupuncturist (they will not survive in Chinatown unless they are good- The doctor in Chinatown near me actually takes insurance and his herbs are very affordable ($17/week) which have helped my many complaints (mood/ fog/joint pain)
