Anyone out there ever had this come up in their bloodwork ? I am currently on Ketek / Amoxycillin / Artemisin for lingering Lyme and Babs ?

I don't know if this is the same thing, but they're testing me for gamma-globulin.... whenever I get to my monthly LEACHING session.

No, gamma globulin and hemoglobin are not the same things. Gamma globulin is a protein in the blood; hemoglobin is the stuff that makes red blood cells red. A high hemoglobin count is most likely caused by dehydration. There are some other causes, such as high altitude adaptation, long standing respiratory illness (asthma, COPD, etc.), poor spleen function, low thyroid function, Vitamin B6 deficiency, Vitamin B12 deficiency, Folic Acid (folate) deficiency, hyperadrenalism (over-active adrenal gland), polycythemia vera, & testosterone supplementation. See
http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/hemoglobin/test.html and

Take care,

Liver problems can cause itchiness, too. May also be due to accumulation of Lyme/coinfection/yeast toxins... In any case, B vitamins would probably help ~ take care,
