coincidence or lyme disease?

Hi,

so without writing too much:

-live in Northern New Jersey
-last monday I had a mosquito bite
-next day, went to work near a dam for my company and there was a forest nearby. I even saw deer (which is why i'm concerned). went home, and noticed the bite on my leg had become red and had expanded (it itches a lot and there is no pain around the red area)
-around that time i had been feeling very fatigued and tired (not just sleepy, but really fatigued and sometimes unable to function normally), but that had started couple of days before i had noticed the redness
-never felt sick/sore throat/coughing etc. no muscle soreness, no sore joints
-now a week after the 'mosquito' bite it is still red, is kinda big (no bullseye) and still itches alot. there is no central point in the red area, no pus and no tick. also, i still feel tired sometimes, more like sleepy not so much 'fatigued'

i know this is nothing serious, i'm not sure if this is all coincidence or that i could possiblty have lyme disease.

is that substantial enough to get checked out by a doctor?

sorry i'm relatively new to this so i might be anxious / worried over no reason.

It never hurts to get it checked out. Just know Lyme tests are VERY inaccurate. There is an LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) in North Jersey in West Caldwell.

Just so you know if your doctor test you for LD he will most likely run an ELISA which is only about 35% accurate, also your body needs time to produce antibodies (which is what the ELISA and WB test for not the actual bateria).  Did you see the list of symptoms, I think they have it in the Newbie section check it out.
