I was on IV Rocephin for three months and then took a two week break. Today was the first day back on IV's and I'm now experiencing bad pain in my legs again. I guess I spoke too soon when I said earlier that the body pain had improved significantly! Oh well! lol

Yes, you can herx on the first day. Do you remember my post when I started the Biaxin and Mepron combo? It was aweful. Some people are just more sensitive than others.

CG, Thanks for responding and reminding me. I don't even remember what day it is anymore. LOL I'm glad you managed to get through that initial period. I know it was horrible for you.
The weird thing is I don't remember herxing when I first started Rocephin. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's what with this darn disease.
RD, Thanks. Believe it or not it I woke up today without any pain at all so maybe it was a small herx.

I swear I notice an increase of symptoms within an hour of taking my medicine. I think it is totally possible.

RD, I am so sorry and wish I could do something to help. Please try not to get discouraged. Change is bound to come and hopefully it will come soon.
I hope these darn doctors eventually get crucified for what they are doing. How the heck can a group of highly educated people be so darn ignorant and arrogant.
Lovelabs, Thanks. I have so many symptoms coming and going that I'm not even sure what's what anymore. lol

Thanks Gracie's Mom. I haven't been so good with the baths because I just don't have the energy or strength to get in the tub but I have started to drink water with lemon and detox tea. I'm really not bad enough to need benadryl.
I saw Carolyn from Dr. R's office this week and mentioned how great you are and how glad I am Gracie is doing better. I know they can't discuss other patients and I would never expect that but Carolyn did say you are a wonderful and very special family. Believe it not I started to get very emotional when I mentioned Gracie's name. Gracie truly is special and a great inspiration.

My doctor tells his Lyme patients to take benadryl too to ease the herx. I haven't taken it because I'm so sensitive to antihistamine. I'd be out for days, LOL.
Scorpio: I know how you feel about
not remember. I feel like the days fly by when I'm on antibiotics and sometimes don't remember what day it is. Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe we won't remember the really bad parts.
I sure hope it gets better for you soon. I'm glad you had no pain today! Yay!

Haha! It is hurting my eyes now. I thought it looked cute last night but those antibiotics must have made me delusional, LOL. Now I got to get my lazy butt up and get back on the computer to fix it. Ugh!
