lymph node hurts now...

just finished 2 weeks of meds, doxy. I got the bells palsey thing going on too. I just got a new "symptom"? My lymph node hurts, its the one on the side with the bells... is this a concern or is there something I should check out, or take any over the counter stuff?

You have many sets of lymphs on your body....under your arms, under you breast, lowere stomach and the back of your knees.
They get backed up with all of the stuff that your body is trying to get rid of.
I had lymph flushes twice a week with my treatment.
See if you can find it in your area. It does not hurt it is just a jelly and a sort of wand that send pulses of to get them to flow. Like drano...ha
I am sure that you can get them at most alternative places.

I have Lymph Node pain every month. I have fevers with it too and sometimes my throat hurts. It seems to get worse for me when I take certain Antiobiotics and Mepron.

Marthas Vineyard: Thanks for the info. I will look into having that done. It has been really painful for me lately, especially the ones under my arms.

my lymph nodes still ache even after almost a year of treatment. It comes and goes. The ones under my arms and in my groin seem to be the worst. I've noticed that they seem to bother me more when my yeast infection gets worse.

CajunGrl, have you been tested for Bartonella?  I believe lymph node pain and sore throat are two major symptoms of it.

Hey Ticker,

Yes, I was tested and it came back negative but my doctor still thinks I have it. I have all of the classic symptoms.

I have an appointment to see an "Infectious Disease" Dr on the 15th. I asked my doc for a higher dosage and longer treatment but he said no and that I would be cured after it was over. I tried all of the llmd around here and no one had anything for over 3 weeks or more. I will be done with my treatment by then. I am seriously considering just doubling up on my pills now and calling the dr later and saying that Idropped the meds in the sink and ruined the rest so I can get a refill.

zizziz, I suggest taking the first available appointment you can get with a Lyme doctor.  You can still go to the ID doctor but this way you will have a back-up plan if the appointment does not go well.  Infectious disease doctors are not usually the best to see for Lyme unless they specialize in it.  I believe there are only a few who do.  Most of them believe 2-4 weeks of low-dose antibiotics will cure any case of Lyme.  I hope the one you see will be open.

i agree, the ID i am seeing said that after 30 days i would be cured..lol
