fighting insurance co...need ammunition...please help

Maybe you can do the 28 days and then see if your doctor can put in another request for longer IV use. He can always say that it did help but you need more time on it. You'd be surprised what a doctor can do.

...spoke to an appeals nurse who suggested the dr. request additional treatment after the first week because it will definitley be denied and until it's denied i can't start the process for an appeal...which will take some time she said...we can then request an appeal from the dept of insurance an outside agency and the insurance co must abide by their decision...but, i agree cajungrl, you never know but it doesn't seem likely given the appeals nurse comment that 28 days is the policy and treatment longer than that isn't beneficial...i told her well, that maybe the guidelines but that it wasn't true...

just put a call into my congresswoman's office Carolyn Maloney who apparently sponsored a bill relating to the CDC's researchers conflict of interest /and vaccine research...also called CT Attorney General's office...this is just the beginning...have to do my homework but i'm going down fighting if i'm going down...

appreciate any other ideas...links, etc...
