Join us Sunday September 27th, 2009 for Chicagoland's first "Create Footprints" walk for Lyme Disease sponsored by Turn the Corner Foundation.

Our walk is at beautiful Independence Grove in Libertyville, IL.  We have people coming from Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana.  Here's the link to register   http://www.turnthecorner.org/createfootprints/ click on Libertyville, IL and follow link to register or click on www.firstgiving.com/egler and start your own team or join ours.

Individual walkers $25, families $70 (children under 10 free).  Money raised will go to Turn the Corner Foundation for Lyme Disease awareness and research.

Registration begins at 10am, Walk starts at 11am

There will be a radio station broadcasting live at our event interviewing Lyme patients and promoting our walk.  Also food, raffles and lots of fun!!

This is a beautiful outreach to support Lyme education and research for a cure!!

I pray that the numbers of able bodies that walk alongside those suffering but, determined to be there are impressive in a way that not only raises the dollars; but get the attention of the general public and media masses in your region!

TY for your work as an educator and advocate for the Lyme community.

We have a live radio station broadcasting from our event and are wanting to interview lyme patients on air which is a great opportunity to have people hear our stories. It really should be a fun day. SO wish you guys could be here :) Maybe someday!!

Do you have any idea on the number of perticipants?  Just curious.  I hope it is a sucess.

I don't have the exact numbers, over 100 but we're hoping for ALOT more. Lots of people saying they'll come out the day of...hope they do!! We've promoted it on TV as well as radio so hopefully!!

Lauren, I wasn't able to attend, I was out of town.  Just wondering how was the day and turn out?  Hope it was a huge success!  Thanks for all your hard work! KO

It was a wonderful day!!! Beautiful weather, over 240 people came out. Close to $20,000 raised I believe...donations still coming in.

So many wonderful people came and supported us (my friends family surprised me by driving in from Canada) and the radio station interviewed lymies on air. I've heard of 2 people who came just from hearing it on the radio. Also had articles in Daily Herald and Chicago Tribune about it too!!!

We'll be starting to plan next years within the next month :)
