I have no idea if it's bart or lyme, but visit a physical therapist who can give you the exercises to alleviate stiffness and pain.
Here are few things to try. When you awaken in the morning, prior to getting out of bed, use your fingers to stretch your big toe back. This will stretch that plantar fascitiis muscle. Next take a towel and hold both ends of towel placing foot on bottom -- stretch plantar fasci by pulling gently but firmly on towel...foot at 90 degrees. Before getting out of bed still, place one foot on tennis ball roll back and forth on the arch to get the plantar fasci moving. Do on other foot too! Now you are ready to stand --- place both feet squarely on the floor and then get up. Before stepping, wiggle around on feet to ensure they are awake. Go ahead and take a few steps to the wall. Stretch the calves by pressing one foot forward, both hands against the wall, and then one foot back. All these can be found by googling plantar fasciitis exercises.
Don't know why Lyme strikes this way but it seems to get a lot of us.
One more thing, repeat all exercises three times daily. Wear good walking shoes. Keep a tennsi ball under your desk. Kick off shoes and do the tennis ball exercise all day.
