question about retesting

My doctor is going to rerun the western blot to see if it still shows positive. I am currrently still taking doxycycline. Will the antibiotics sway the test results? or do I need to be off the doxy first?

From what I've been reading, it says to be off of antibiotics for two weeks before testing again. Sometimes doctors make patients take antibiotics for a month or so, then make them get off two weeks before the test to see if any new bands are present.

Ask your doctor first though. Is he/she an LLMD?

My Dr had me re-test while still on antibiotics. My suggestion would be to clarify with your Dr.
