I'm thinking of switching LLMDs.  Are any of you seeing Dr. S in MD?  Would you recommend him?  Any other info would be helpful (ex.  appointment costs, wait time for first appointment, etc.).   I would also appreciate his contact info.   My email is [email protected].

Opps. Just found his webpage.....looks like he isn't taking any new patients. Does anyone know any other LLMDs in MD that they would recommend?

I see Dr S and he is wonderful. Best, latest, cutting edge treatments. Very knowledgeable. Staff is great too. I have never waited at all for a appt. Been going to him 2 years and he always takes me as soon as I walk in the door. get on his waiting list if they have one.

I tell everyone that the BEST LLMD in Maryland is Optimal Health Physicians in Rockville. It's an hour for me (more so during rush hour) but well worth it. What city are you in? This practice doesn't just treat the Lyme... they treat the body and the effects that Lyme has had on it!

Thanks for the reply.  I'm not in MD.  I live in Indiana (where there are no LLMDs).  I'm currently seeing a LLMD in PA (for almost a year) but I'm thinking about getting a second opinion.  My parents live in MD so I figured it may save me some money if I could stay with them (i.e. not pay for hotel, rental car, etc.).   I'm just looking around at the moment trying to figure out my best options.  I also hear there is a good LLMD in NOVA.

Brad, I'm curious which Doc you are seeing in PA. I am seeing a Dr. S in West Chester, PA. is this the same as you? I've only seen him once and 2nd appt is tomorrow. And I thought I'd feel relieved after my 1st appt with him, but instead I left in tears.

I'm seeing a different LLMD....not the one you see in West Chester.  Hope your second appointment goes better than the first.   Hang in there. 

For the record, I like my current LLMD.  I'm extremely greatful for his help (thus far).  However, lyme and other tick-borne illnesses are very tricky to diagnose and treat.    I want another qualified professional to evaluate my condition with a 'fresh pair of eyes'.
