Hair is coming in jet black...

I have been a natural  blonde my entire life and all of a sudden my hair is coming in jet black. Better than white I suppose! lol I read here awhile back about someones hair changing color since diagnosed with Lyme.  What is making that happen? Very strange....D

Now that is weird. I wonder if it's your hormones maybe? Lyme can affect hormone levels too.

And hey, I agree, I'm glad it's not grey too! I keep plucking mine but they just come in even more, lol. I think three more come in to every one I pluck.

Hey - I don't think of them as grey; they're platinum. Or at least silver. I colored my hair for years and no one said much about it. It was unremarkable. Now I've let it go natural and people, strangers, stop me all the time to tell me what beautiful hair I have. Who'd have thought?

Well mine is changing too but it is grey. Good thing I need very good reading glasses to see myself or I would be shocked.

I seem to have this problem but my hair has always been brown

Coming in Black with some strands of Grey.....I read somewhere
about Melanin, such as a loss of melanin for making our hair turn grey.

Still have not found out why I have such dark hair now...WEIRD!!

I also have these slightly raised dark spots on my legs, they resemble
age spots. I am only 40 and my mom dont even have as many of
these so called age spots and she is 63. I have had three doctors
look at them, and they look and write down what they see but thats
as far as it goes.

So many mysterious things going on its just impossile to make sense out of everything.

Harleyrider: I also have the brown raised spots on my skin, wow. There has got  to be a connection if we both have them, you think? Doc a few years ago told me they were "age spots." Your hair is growing in just like mine, interesting... if you find anything more about it, please post will you? Take care  D

I will share info with you for sure. If you have anything new on these spots let me know too.

I just thought it was from being in the sun or those tanning beds
I got mine before any meds or diagnoses of lyme

I have them on arms and legs, but way more on my legs, just on the top of
one leg in the calf area I can count twenty or more.

I will pursue this more now knowing I'm not the only one.

Thanks for sharing this, I was starting to wonder about these freaky spots

Wow, same here. I have them more on the top of my right thigh, very interesting. I also loved the sun but I am just getting them now, most since this Summer. I will do some research as well, keep in touch.... D

Did anyone else hear the news report a few months ago about a pill being developoed to counteract the development of grey hair? They said it's some kind of natural peroxide that we produce as we age that makes our hair turn grey and the pill interferes with that. I don't know an eta for its distribution to the general public, but I'm sure a lot of people will be interested.

I bet if I took that new med that I'd probably have green hair coming out or something weird like that. None of those new things ever work right for me. I always get that "rare" side effect.

It is pretty interesting though.

I always heard that those "age" spots AND hair color was liver related? I am 34, and since Lyme have a tremendous amount of Gray.

I think the greys I have are because I'm almost 40, lol. I don't have the spots and I hope I don't get them.
