Hi Everyone: I find myself holding my breath several times a day and I dont even know why I am doing it? Is this what is meant by "air starvation.?" I am very capable of breathing, for some strange reason I am just holding it in, especially when concentrating on something like the computer. Do you guys do this? I cant seem to stop... Thanks~ D

I guess I could call it a sigh. Its like having sleep apnea but being awake? lol Do you know why you do it? Is it a lyme symptom? Thanks D

I do this too. It is, as Dowa says, like an apnea episode but while awake. I never connected it to Lyme, though.

Yes, I do it, too. Dnn't know whether it's a concentration thing or trying to get the world to slow down so I can process it properly. Yoga helps. As I understand it air starvation is not when you hold your breath, but when you are gasping for breath and can't get enough.
