This is just a reminder to all of you to please be VERY careful who you give your personal information to. I know we are all sick and some of us need a friend but please think real hard before you give someone any information. Make sure you've at least known that person for a while before giving out personal information. I care about all of you and I don't want anyone here to get into something they can't get out of. JUST BE CAREFUL!! Some people are really not who they say they are. I don't want to scare anyone, but this is the Internet and scary things DO happen!

CG - I'm pretty naieve when it comes to the internet. I assume you're talking about addresses and/or phone numbers, etc. Is email safe?

We had some guy pretending to be a doctor infiltrate our endometriosis forum. He slowly built up friendships with some of the women and seemed so caring and supportive that some started to trust him with their phone numbers. These women started getting weird, creepy phone calls from him.

He was not who he said he was and fortunately, everything turned out ok. Some of the women had to change their phone numbers but, to the best of our knowledge, no one gave him their actual home address. He was very patient and it took him many months to build up that trust.
