does anyone know about brain scanning or what type brain damage
happens from lyme. any info? medications? what medications may
be more harmful? any info?

Hi bucci,

You can do an MRI or a Spect scan to check for lesions on the brain. The only medications I am aware of for Lyme is antibiotics or a more natural route. This doesn't guarantee that the lesions will dissapear though.

What are you going through right now that brings up these questions?

I see my Dad for past 25 yrs without treatment other than in the beginning and his neuro functions and he makes faces. lots of other stuff. I am waiting now for my blood work to come back for lyme because alll my symptoms are like his. i have Hep C so everything is blamed on that but other Hep C people don't have all this. It feel like a virus in my brain. could be hep c but my Dad doesn't have hep c

Were you ever tested for lyme?  IgeneX is the most accurate lab we have in the U.S.:

If you were not tested, you can order a free testing kit from IgeneX but  you will need a doctor's signature for the actual bloodwork.

I don't believe anyone's brain gets damaged from lyme yet lyme does cause brain fog, loss of memory, lyme rage episodes, etc. but all those symptoms can be temporary if one is taking the right supplements to clear out the toxins.

Get an MRI. LYME bore quantities of holes in my brain during its run. Teasel root (what the deer eat that keep them from getting lyme infection) can be purchased from Hisgoodherbs.com. This is one of those herbs where Less is Better. You begin with one drop and work your way up to five drops per day. WARNING; This herb causes herx heimer reaction ( causes your body to start rejecting and purging Lyme. It can be pretty rough on you for a couple of weeks... ) As you go into remission, and for the next few years after, your brain will go through much healing and rebuilding. I am roughly 85% recovered from lyme brain.


Ps; Stay Away from Sugars! They bog down your immune system preventing it from overcoming the disease.

sojourner - hi, i have a quesiton. i was on teasel root when i treated lyme, however, nobody else on this forum recommended it but me - i find it interesting that you have taken it as well. most people are telling me to try japanese knotweed (bc my daughter has to be treated for a second time). did you ever take that herb? thanks in advance...

First off, this thread is 6 years old - Deejavu is the only one still posting here. Sorry.

I used Teasel in my herbal treatments as well Chapelle. Buhner says this about Teasel:
"In my experience teasel is most effective for helping with arthritic symptoms from lyme; I don’t know of any contraindications."

Trav - Is Teasel Root in the Chronic Tonic? I'm trying to remember where I read about it - it was before I learned about the Buhner Protocol..and before I was on this forum...and I was 'google' crazy.
