Have any of you had any joint damaged or destoryed due to lyme? One doc tells me that lyme doesnt' cause joint erosion, it only causes pain that prevents you from moving at worst.

There is another tick-borne infection that causes joint erosion. My fingers & toes are twisting & quite painful because of this.
Here are a few sites that were shared with me;
http://arthritis.about
.com/od/diseasesandconditions/a/whatisarthrit...
to diagnose there are overlapping but varying criteria
for rheumatoid: http://www.webmd.com/rheumatoid-arthritis/guide/diagnosing-ra
for psoriatic arth. http://www.psoriasis.org/netcommunity/learn_psadiagnosis
septic arth ( from INFECTION) http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/236299-diagnosis
There is a lot more info out there - try 'googling' Lyme Arthritis - you'll be surprised how much it will bring up!!
Hope this helps ~

Lyme "eats" connective tissue - I don't know how that could *not* cause some joint damage...
