Anyone develop insulin resistance?

After realizing how much sugar was causing so many of my problems, I have read about insulin resistance.

Wondering if anyone with lyme has developed insulin resistance. It seems many of the symptoms overlap with lyme but infection in the body can also lead to it.

Hi springsjean,

I do not have insulin resistance but it is so common that I do know people that have it (not necessarily lymies either). I think it is quite possible that lyme can contribute to this condition because lyme and co-infections can "mess up" the endocrine system. It seems as though ALL of the body can be harmed by lyme!
