Thought I had a heart attack night of Feb. 5, called ambulance went to the hospital. HBP and high heart rate. Ran tests, had a high d-dimer, 778. D-dimer checks for blood clots. Had a ct scan of head and chest. no clots. sent home. Told I had my first panic attack, likely from the high/low blood pressure.
Feb. 7, back to the er, drove this time, same symptoms, HBP and high heart rate. Ran tests again, D-dimer elevated to 1008. Kept looking for that clot, ultrasound my legs. No clot. Go home.
Went to primary care Feb. 10, next panic attack in office, freaked everyone out, back to Er in ambulance. All tests ok, d-dimer not ran again though, but "cleared" on the clots. Was told d-dimer could also reflect severe infection or trauma.
No one knows the problem. Went to endocrinologist, cleared. Called infectious disease guy who thinks I don;t have lyme because I had a neg Elisa but a positive western blot. Convinced him to give me amoxicillin- of course not enough, 500 3x a day - for the lyme I don;t have.
Cardiologist gave me a beta blocker to "bandaid" the HBP and high heart rate. No one knows cause. Those that are not infectious disease guys say this must be lyme, you didn't get rid of it in Nov.. Infectious disease guy says these symptoms are not lyme related. Lyme usually slows a heart down he says. So I'm in a downward circle with no one to help me. Hoping the "beta blocker bandaid" gets me through March 1.
I made my first LLMD appointment for Mar 1, but feel like I'll die by then..
Reminder, had a weird looking bullseye in Oct (saw a small bug and flicked him of me- not attached, doc told me it was cellulitis and was given an itch creme. By 2nd week of November had palpits, went to urgent care, where they ran the western blot, that came back positive, with 2 bands, new infection. Have had 2 neg Elisa tests.
Sorry for the choppy writing, very tired, took 2 weeks to have the will to write.
Any thoughts.. please tell me I'm not crazy this is Lyme.
