Lyme neuroborreliosis successful healing

I was treated with Chronic Lyme Neuroborreliosis for years. The symptoms were: pain in the limbs, numbness, nasal discharge, fatigue, lameness, depression, panic, headaches, sweating, trouble sleeping. The symptoms are similar to the Sclerosis Multiplex. There was many antibiotic (penicillins, macrolides) and alternative (silver colloide, infra sauna, hyperbar oxigen, rife maschine, DMSO) treatments tried for many years. This brought some improvement, but not definitive.

The next course of antibiotics cured it permanently:
Doxycycline 400 mg/day (2x200) for 30 days
after
Minocycline 400 mg/day (2x200) for 30 days
During the course beginning every two weeks for four consecutive days:
Metrondiazole 1000 mg/day (2x500) for 60 days
Residual symptoms may remain after antibiotic courses. Therefore, additional steroid treatment may be necessary.

I was going to ask the same question, I dont understand the steroid use at all.  D

Hi Razzle, I just got little confused by what you say?? does this mean there is a legitimate reason for steroids or that the steroids are helping at that point or there is no other aternative. or do you mean .. they made that type of treatment and it was NOT good ??

what would the "autoimmune responce be like anyway? what type of stuff are they treating with steroid? like adrenal crash?

are they thinking of a blast of steroid or maintanace low dose?
