does anyone experience very vivid detailed dreams that resemble a story ?  thank u

I do, when I dream. I don't dream all that often, but when I do it's VERY vivid!! This is something that has happened all of my life though. There is no way for me to know if it is linked to my TBI's or not, since I was infected about the age of 5 - over 40 yrs ago, it's probably safe to assume it's connected though.

Roses? are these dreams happening while on pain meds because that is when I get all the dreams. and not all good dreams. I am assuming your are having normal sleep dreams???
or do you think it is from antibiotics? or is it the lyme?

Yes I go through periods of having very vivid, complicated dreams. Sometimes I have trouble figuring out if it was real or not and I wake up feeling more exhausted because of all the creative energy needed to make up all that stuff. It has definitely happened less as my health has improved. I also found that the pain killers made it worse; not only were the dreams flashy, cartoon-like and very fast-paced, they were also very disturbing and dark.

Vivid dreams can come from too much Vitamin B6. Are you getting a lot of that?

yes, have "movie dreams". Sometimes they are disturbing, but often just grand adventures. And, since I am so freaking sick and can no longer have real life grand adventures, I guess I should be happy for those dreams.

In Chinese Medicine they say that one of the reasons for vivid dreams is too much heat in your liver. I have found that taking Milk Thistle helps when my I start having symptoms of liver heat, such as vivid dreams. It always seems to help!

I am with Doc I do not hate the dreams in fact they could be used as outlines for books .
I have quit having them! the dreams now

I have always had vivid movie like dreams and have thought of possibly writing a book about them.
But when sick with lyme they become disturbing and dark. Or I just worry myself to sleep and then
the dreams stem from all the worrying.

Not sure if this applies here but I was found to have a parasite that would wake me up and make me sick at 2 am
each morning. I had no idea what it was from. My chiropractor muscle tested me and found a homeopathic remedy for a parasite.
I asked him how he knew what to check for and he said because parasites are more active in the early morning hours.
I was impressed that he knew this. (he was a lyme sufferer himself as a kid)
I used the homeopathic remedy he gave me and now sleep like a baby.

hard question but I strongly beleive there is a connection between the dreams and the lyme. it occured the most when illness was at its most neurological in nature, Also mi pain meds were not strong and wouldn't stay active in body for more than 3 hours I think there is a connection neuro based. how sick is your dad? does he know how he got it? poor guy,My dreams came regardless of being on antibiotic or on pain killer BUT neuro symptoms were a constant. I will someday find the ones i wrote down and give a few examplesbut as the story of mi life they are misplaced I misplace all of the time sounds bettter than lose lisa

I'm so sorry, but I dont know what homeopathic remedy he gave me. I know it was for parasites though.
He gave me alot of different antitox remedy's too, so maybe detoxing is the answer. I used to play soothing music to get to sleep and it helped.
Or meditation CD's. Whatever he needs to use to calm his mind for sleep.
But that chiropractor is very good. He told me he cured this woman who came to him crying
because her whole head was numb and no doctor could help her. IN a few treatments her head was
back to normal. He helped me with so many symptoms.
But when he went on vacation to europe and I couldnt get to him I had terrible symptoms surface.
I felt I needed to get to the bottom of this and not just treat the symptoms. Thats when I switched.
I'm on a whole new protocol with a new homeopathic doc.
THe symptoms are not going away as fast but its supposed to be balancing out my whole system. Time will tell.

You wouldnt happen to be in the New York area, would you? Thats where he is.
