You are on steroids, so you need to be taking calcium (at least 2 hours apart from taking steroids or iron supplements, though). What form of calcium do you take? Tums is calcium carbonate, which is very poorly absorbed & metabolized. Calcium Citrate is a much easier form for the body to use. My favorite form of calcium is Calcium Hydroxyapatite, which is derived from the bones of cattle and contains most of the nutrients needed for healthy bones...Vitamin C taken at the same time as calcium helps with absorption and utilization of calcium as well.
The nattokinase I haven't tried yet...waiting to ask my LLND about it this week. But I have heard that it can help bust up Lyme biofilms and possibly also cysts...it also is a blood thinner.
Feeling better now than I was a few weeks ago (major leg pains from herxing from the Doxy)...my LLND will probably up my dose again...he's going slowly with me because of how sensitive my system seems to be. I'm currently alternating 100mg on one day and 200mg the next, then back to 100mg, etc. I hope he ups it to 200mg every day...I want to kick some more Lyme butt, LOL! February and April are usually my "bad" months, and I was herxing in Feb....so we'll see what April brings. It is nice to not have the hip-to-toe leg pains hitting me so often.
Take care,
