Hi Everyone. I need some advice.
I am a 20 yr old female who leads a very healthy lifestyle (good diet, daily exercise, don't smoke/drink). For the past few months, I have been having bouts of severe eye pain, light sensitivity, and headaches. These are so bad that I can't open my eyes and have difficulty concentrating.
I saw an opthamologist, who said my eyes were fine and referred me to a neurologist, who diagnosed me with migraines and prescribed me Floricet, a migraine medication. I went back after the medicine did not help, and he sent me to get an MRI. I get the results tomorrow and am nervous.
Four years ago I went hiking with my family and everyone except me found several ticks on them. A week later, a circular rash appeared on my back. It was raised, but not itchy. I felt a little general malaise. We suspected Lyme, but I tested negative for it.
I know that Lyme can be hard to detect in blood tests, especially when recently acquired. Could my eye and headache problems be related to Lyme? In general, I kind of feel sick all the time and am frequently diagnosed with "viral infections." Should I ask my neurologist about this?
Thank you so much for reading this. I just want to feel better!
