Got my CD57 results back today. It was a 176?? If I have truly had Lyme for awhile like the test indicate, is this possible?? I know that I have Lyme, but is it possible that I haven't had it for as long as the test supports? Kinda confused.

I tested positive for bartonella and my CD-57 was also high, I think 157. Dr. told me it was totally unreliable if you have bartonella. Have you been tested for that?

I have not been tested for Bartonella yet. Doc recommended the complete co-infections panel, just haven't found the $660.00 yet

Dear INfected,
My CD57 was low and I did a lot of research on it, PLUS my new LLMD brought it up, commenting, 'Oh, that is how Dr. D diagnoses Lyme."
He went on to tell me that it CAN be a good little progress report and that very low scores indicate Lyme, specifically. But he also discussed other patients --- some that had extremely low scores, but claim that they feel well; as well as those who are/were very sick who had normal CD57 scores.
Seems to me that it is GENERALLY indicative, but not in every case. You would rely on a low score if you had other labs showing LYme. However, a 'normal' score can not rule OUT Lyme disease.
Sorry this is not much help, sorry. I just think you will need to rely on other tests, along w/ your symptoms to diagnose and track where you are at this time.

1bitten2xshy, the other moderator that helped me here, had a high CD57. She did treat for Lyme, but never actually got completely better. She started treating for virals and feels so much better. I will have to ask her to come here and post what she actually took that helped and what viruses she had.
