Thanks for the welcome. Ii have not had typical symptoms of Lyme disease, to my knowledge. I just turned 60 and have some long-standing musculoskeletal challenges (scoliosis, lumbar disc surgery in '96, fibromyalgia, and some symptoms of Sjogren's without a positive test [my mother has it]). I also am allergic to many antibiotics, so that has made my doctor reluctant to prescribe an antibiotic unless there is a firm reason. I am particularly interested in complementary natural and herbal medications that might stabilize my immune system. One complicating factor is that I take warfarin blood thinner, and my coagulation level is quite variable, so I must monitor the possible effects of any new medication or natural remedy on that parameter. I monitor this level using a meter at home, so I can check as often as weekly, if needed. One other note is that I was recently diagnosed with a moderate mammalian meat allergy to beef (alpha gal test), and I've been avoiding all meats for about 3 weeks. Presumably, this mammalian meat allergy developed in response to tick bites. Thanks for your thoughts, and those of the community.
Reading this post - I think you should look into lyme disease (musculosketal challenges, fibromyalgia, sjogren's symptom, recent meat allergy)
What prompted the warfarin ?
Those ^^^^ along with the multiple tick bites and rashes....go to a LLMD and get an evaluation.
My initial symptoms didn't include the usual: flu-like symptoms, fatigue, headaches, swollen lymph nodes ...that many people get.
