Hi Wasdrs!!
Welcome to our forum!!! I am so sorry that you have a need to be here, but I am sure glad you found us!!! I'm sure that you will find that we are a caring and helpful bunch of people, and we really can understand what you are living with - because almost always, you will find someone else here trying to deal with the same symptoms.
I actually have had the opposite problem - until a recent bone density test told me that my ostoepenia had actually reversed. I do deal with adrenal fatigue & have started a Homeopathic treatment for it just a few weeks ago.
Doxy is actually a good abx to start on if your tick bite was recent. Here is a link for info about
Doxy from the thread at the top of this forum "New to Lyme? Start here" -
www.ehow.com/how_2165217_avoid-doxycycline-side-effects.htmlIt would be very beneficial for you to read through that thread I mentioned - it's stuffed full of some good info!!
Are you seeing a Lyme Literate MD (LLMD)??? This will be the biggest help you can give yourself! Trying to educate a doc (especially an unwilling doc) is not something that is easy to do while you yourself need treatment.
The next thing I would heartily suggest is to read all that you can get your hands on about
these tick-borne illnesses. As many have found out, we need to be our own health advocates!!
Oop- also be sure to get a copy of
all of your tests for your own records!! Take pictures of all rashes -include something like a penny or a dime so that whoever looks at those photos will have an understanding of the size of the rash.
I do hope this helps some!
Hang in there!!
May you find peace along your journey to health.
