My visit with Dr today

Had my appointment with LLMD today. He has stopped the Doxy and the 3 x weekly Rocephin IV's as I don't seem to be getting anywhere other than the constant sore throat and swollen glands have gone. I did get a break in the dizziness for two weeks but it came right back.

He thinks I have babesia and Bartonella to go along with all the other stuff due to fact that my husband has just come back positive to Lyme plus the co-infections, he thinks I did not come back positive to the co-infections due my immune system being so compromised but I do have symptoms of both.

He has started me on Azithromycin 250mg once a day

Omnicef 300 mg twice a day

Probeneci 500mg twics a day

Artemisinin 2 tablets 3 times a week (Friday/Sat/Sun)

I have to do this for a month and then he will change to bring in Flagll and Mepron

Plus I am to continue all the supplements previously taking

How does this sound to you all as I am very confused?

Your doctor sounds like he is very hip to how this bounces all over. I didn't know your husband is infected too.
The thing about the meds is what order they are prescribed, which thing to knock out first and the whole cyst busting thing. And to be able to sense what meds one patient can tolerate while another one could not.

Thanks for sharing what your abx treatment is and how it is going. I really think it is the most challanging treatment for anyone to take on but it is working for many people.

so the more versions we hear the better.My doctor gave me levequan pill prescription because I ran out of $ for his IV type treatments. That is for bartonella but there are some doctors who will not go near levequan.

I never took it because I was afraid to start any antibiotics like that while living alone and also it was expensive and I wasn't sure how long I would have to refill for.

When I did zythro, I did it IV 500mg 3 x week but I did EDTA IV to strip the bio films for 3 hours before the zethro IV. Now I think it is given for only an hour and a half.

Also, not every doctor would even pick up on the fact that your immune system is so run down that may be a reason for coinfections not showing up.
Before I did all my blood work my doctor gave me teasel root and japaneese knotweed to take for a week and I think it was to help bring out what ever is already hiding in the tissue or ???
I still haven't heard anyone else on the post here who has done that so I keep posting it up to keep that info in the loop.

also have you done any heavy metal detoxing? Everyone has heavy metals but people who are chronic fatigued and have lyme or like fibro have a bad time because they are not processing the heavy metals as well as healthy people. One of the reasons is because of thick blood.

were you given the ISAC panel test for thick blood. I am sure your doctor knows about this. It is covered even by medicaid. It is about 6 tubes of blood. maybe you know about this already.

all of our symptoms get so convoluted we don't know which is which but when we are in treatment we have to maintain a constant state of detox because it is all getting stirred up. heavy metals is big part of it for us if we have thick blood.
