Thank you for your replies! I have not been diagnosed yet and just began learning about Lyme about a month ago. However, I got sick in August 09 and have have gotten progressively worse since. It started with what I thought was a cold, followed a few weeks later by neck and shoulder pain, strong headaches and constant fatigue - unlike anything I have ever experienced before. The timing happened to coincide with a new dog we added to the family so for a long time I thought my problems were complications from allergies and stress. Winter of 09, I started getting facial pressure which I thought was from my sinuses although I have since had sinus surgery and have found no improvement. Spring of 2010 I started feeling a tremor through my whole body yet it is not visible. Now this winter I have been having pain in both my knees and hips (especially in the cold) and well as rubbery legs. Right now, I still have all the symptoms listed above. I have good days and bad days but the good ones are becoming more sparse. As I think back to the fall when my symptoms began, I had just finished a summer long landscaping project in our back yard and did encounter several tics. We also do live in an endemic part of the country. My first lyme test came back negative and all my blood work is normal. The doctor who ordered the test suggested I see a psychiatrist to help me deal with these problems. He actually mocked me and suggested that maybe aliens came down from space and infected me with some disease that nobody has seen before. No Joke. I hope this is not lyme but am prepared to deal with it if it is. I am in my early 30's and I know the way I feel is not normal nor in my head. I am glad I found this board as I try to learn more about the horrible disease.
