Rocephin Inter muscular shot for Lyme's instead of IV anyone had this done before?

Hi I'm doing shots instead of an IV. Were trying to help my colon too because I have Ulcerated Colitis we don't know if it's linked to my Lyme's or not. My GI says no. My LLMD says possibly. I had a shot a week ago today, I felt the inflammation went down a lot in my rectum as well as my gut but I still have bloody stools and they are long and skinny.  I'm hoping I improve with each shot. I was on Bicillian IM injection but no improvement to my gut or colon.

Let me know if you have rocephin shot before, how much if so how long or please comment if you would like. Thank you,

Have you tried using the search function on this forum yet? I tried it & of course, your post came up , but so did a lot of other posts on this subject.

What is the difference in cost between IM and IV for Rocephin? I think one of the recent posts mentioned $4,000 for the IV????

I just go to the local clinic and get  shot and wait 20mins then I leave. It's covered by my insurance and the IV they ususally want to put in a picc line from your arm up towards the heart. I didn't want that.

miracles, so your insurance is covering this as aUC treatment?

I don't know I just give them my insurance info. Sorry I can't be more help. I'm like 80/20 on my coverage. So I bet I'll have to pay some and when I did in the past with Bicillian it was like $24 per shot.
